The shopping days for Christmas are now in full-swing and many of us still have work to do in regards to this challenge. There most certainly exists an anxiety for many as to what to get someone of the male gender before symptoms of a panic attack become evident. Relax, my friends, there is a variety of "Guy" Gift Baskets that could ease your burden in mere minutes.
The question of what guys like must first be answered. After hours of pondering the answer to this very deep mystery a two-word thought occurred to me. The startling revelation of the words "guy stuff" were given to me by the unseen powers of the universe having the wisdom that humans cannot possibly possess. I humbly beseeched this energy to shed more of its miraculous light on this matter. I was then led along a path of enlightenment toward the ultimate in masculine gift-giving. What did I see?
There were gift baskets that had individual themes all within the magical realm of guydom. There was bound to be one that fit the characteristics of any member of the male species. I was utterly astounded by the choices that were before my very eyes. I saw Guy Gift Baskets pertaining to golf, NASCAR, handyman, cigars, motorcycles, Dad's, trucks, coffee, movies and more. I then saw a shining light coming closer to reveal yet another theme having absolute virile and manlike characteristics. What was behind this amazing spectacle?
There were gift baskets of food....glorious, wonderful food! Some of these baskets with edible treasures contained sweet, luscious candy and snacks. Some were packed with traditional Italian food. Others were chock full of gourmet food that would satisfy the manliest of men in a most manly way. What guy doesn't like food? What guy doesn't love gourmet food? Herein was yet another insight towards the power of knowing what to get for all of the menfolk out there.
Then the fantasy that seemed so real suddenly dissipated. A message, however, was indelibly chiseled into my consciousness. I realized that guys like guy stuff and Guy Gift Baskets are guy stuff and that any guy would love to have Guy Gift Baskets in order to experience a new dimension of what being a guy is all about. How simple is that?
One of the eternal mysteries involving the world of gift-giving was granted to me and today I share this truth with you out of nothing but sheer love for my brothers and sisters around the world. Don't suppress your urge now to weep with me in pure joy! Just let it go....yes....yes, my friends. Let your tears be shed in the state of bliss that I unabashedly can share with you at this very moment.

Beautiful Bronze - Bronze Sculpture in Ancient and Modern Times
Bronze, an easily molded, durable and visually appealing material, has been utilized by civilized man for more than 5,500 years. According to archaeological finds, though bronze was initially used in the making of weapons and household items, it was quickly discovered that the material made unparalleled art. Archaeological evidence shows that bronze first appeared in Iran, Iraq and Turkey around 3,500 BCE (before the current era), followed by India (3,300 BCE) and concurrently, China and Europe (about 2,100 BCE).
Bronze is an alloy of copper with another material, usually tin, though other materials, including phosphorous, aluminum or silicon, may also be used. Bronze has the unique quality of expanding slightly as it cools. This makes it ideal for pouring into molds, as it "grows" to fill in extremely delicate details within the mold, lending a realistic appearance.
Though most cultures have a history of creating bronze sculptures, it was the ancient Greeks who are credited with the first life-size bronze figures. At first beating the bronze into shape and welding pieces together, the Greeks later refined the bronze sculpture technique by creating a clay model, lining it with wax and then a second layer of clay. Nails were inserted to brace the model. The molten bronze was then poured in, which melted the wax and left a uniform bronze piece in the desired shape. The clay was then be chipped away to reveal a hollow, relatively lightweight statue. This process, called the lost-wax method, is still in use today, though a variety of refinements have been made.
For a solid bronze sculpture, wax is used for most of the internal portion of the model. Most artists will start with a production model in case the molten process fails and the process must be started over again. Modern bronze sculptors have taken the Greek idea of large-size art to new heights, with impressively-sized bronze sculptures. These are often created in pieces, transported to the final location and welded on the spot.
Once the desired shape is obtained and the outer layer chipped out, the bronze sculpture is polished. Some artists use a patina rubbed on the outside of the sculpture, which results in a variety of color and sheen level effects. Finished bronze can also be gilded, a process known as ormulu.
Famous bronze sculptors through history included Donatello, Jean-Baptiste Carpeaux, Giambologna (Giovanni da Bologna) and Benvenuto Cellini. Bronze sculptors of the modern era include Henry Moore, Leonard Wells Volk, Harry Webber, Bill Toma and John W. Mills.

How To Find Unique Gifts For The Person Who Has Everything
If you have someone on your holiday list that requires a little more thought than the average person, than you've come to the right place. I married into a very large family 8 years ago and finding gifts that fit all the varied personalities has been very a very time consuming and exciting adventure.
For starters, you might try to look around your local area in some of the specialty shops. These are great places that can easily be overlooked during the holiday season. Just to stay in business these stores have to specialize in fantastic service and offer unique products all year long. They must offer customers a reason to keep coming back. And if you don't find anything the first time they are probably going to get new items in soon. Don't be afraid to ask them when they expect new stock to arrive. Most owners are thrilled that you are interested.
If time is a constraint, you may consider a gift card to an unusual service. Errand running and Cleaning Services are popping up all over the United States due to an overworked population. If you choose this gift, make sure you know how much the average service costs. If you know someone who never has enough hands this can be a lifesaver. Just think, you could be a hero!
Of course, the overwhelmingly popular option is to search the internet. One search technique I use is this: You have a person that's hard to shop for and you probably only know one or two things about them. Try typing these things into the search bar and see what pops up. You might be suprised to find a world you never knew about and a wealth of gifts to go along with it. Don't forget to wrap it pretty!
Example: I used this technique once with a cousin-in-law(I said a large family). I barely knew him and I was in charge of his birthday gift. The result was a silver-plated computer mouse. I was pleasently suprised when the box arrived that it was covered inside and out with navy blue velvet. The gift looked like I had spent a fortune but, it was only about $35 including shipping. I wrapped in in just a white ribbon and it looked great on the gift table. He loved it and there were lots of ooooh's and aaaah's.
One of my favorite gift ideas is the home made gift. That seems to scare alot of people these days but, years ago most all gifts were all of the hand made variety. If you have a special talent, let it shine when gift giving. If you have not developed a skill for sewing or crafts, get one. There is a great love that comes from a gift of your personal time and effort. Just a month ago I picked up Crochet and have made several dishcloth sets for family members. Dishcloths are easy with a how-to book and I have a new skill.
The best gifts are the ones the recipient would never think to ask for and will love to use on a regular basis. When you give a gift, make it something that will change their life in a very small, but, positive way. Try never to give ordinary gifts.

Romantic Gifts for the New Year
Coming at the tail end of the winter gift-giving holidays, New Year's can be a welcome respite from all the hustle and bustle. It's traditionally a time for reflection, to consider priorities and make plans for the coming year. It's also a wonderful time to show the special person in your life how much you care, to renew the commitment you've made and to plan for the future together. With that in mind, here are some romantic gifts to commemorate the new year.
Toast your love
Whether you get a kick from champagne or sparkling water is more your style, any beverage is more elegant when served in a pair of matching champagne flutes. Take a moment with your sweetie to share what you're most thankful for about your relationship, and what your hopes and dreams are for the year ahead. Then raise one of these beautiful glasses and drink to the future.
Frame a favorite photo
There's something about photos of our loved ones that taps into our emotions and brings up warm feelings. A framed photo of yourself and your significant other enjoying a happy time together is a truly romantic gift, especially if the frame itself is personalized with a message of love. Check out our selection of frames with romantic sayings on them -- then have your names engraved for that added personal touch.
Personalize a CD case
Once upon a time, the greatest way to declare your love for someone was to make them a mixtape of songs that had special meaning for the two of you. Today, those old mixtapes have been replaced by digital music files, either downloaded to an MP3 player or burned to CDs. But though the technology has changed, the gesture of personalizing a playlist remains a sweet and pure symbol of your affection. And now you can take it one step further by making your sweetie a personalized CD case to carry those special tunes in.
Serenade your sweetheart
Looking for a more dramatic way to declare your love through music? You can't get much more dramatic than a live serenade, especially in front of a bunch of New Year's Eve party guests. With a portable karaoke machine, you can warble and croon your way through any number of classic tunes or modern hits. Your significant other will be so touched and impressed by your brave gesture that it won't matter whether or not you're "American Idol" material.
Cuddle up for a movie marathon
After an exciting night out on the town, you'll probably be too tired on New Year's Day to do much more than snuggle together on the sofa and watch your favorite movies -- which can be pretty romantic in and of itself. Set the mood: dim the lights, make some hot chocolate and pop in one of these classics on DVD. You'll be quoting memorable lines to one another all year. "Here's looking at you, kid!"

Unique Gifts for the Holidays
When you are at your holiday party and it is time to give the gifts, one of the questions you like to hear is "Where did you get that?" Consumer Guide and HowStuffWorks has compiled a list of unique, interesting holiday presents that will cause a buzz in the room. From a water-resistant hand-crank radio to chocolate fountains that let your party guests dip at any time, these gifts will blow the room away.
Dynaflex Powerball
Get a grip -- This wrist exerciser is great fun. Twist the Powerball and get the internal gyroscope going. See how fast it can fly. All the while, the torque is forcing you to work your muscles while holding it.
Dale of Norway sweaters
While these sweaters are a little on the high-end side, they are inspired, craftsmanlike pieces. You can get sweaters that are 100 percent wool, and these sweaters come from an authentic Norwegian company in the sweater business for more than 120 years.
Eton Red Cross FR400 Weather Radio
The Eton FR400 is a water-resistant, hand-cranked weather radio. This unit comes with emergency lighting, a cell-phone adapter so that you can hand-crank enough power to charge a cell phone to make some calls, and seven weather-band channels. This portable unit will let you always be prepared.
UberOrbs
Trying to twiddle away the hours? Well, nothing will help more than the UberOrbs. These two magnetic spherical doodads make noise, spin, rock and do other fascinating things. Be aware, however, that wasting hours and hours doing nothing with UberOrbs can possibly cause some regret. But, what the hey?
Golf Launchpad
You can play golf virtually anywhere with the Golf Launchpad. This game accessory allows you to use your own clubs to virtually play anywhere, anytime. All you have to do is grip it and rip it. Using EA Sports Tiger Woods PGA Tour software, you can play the best courses in the world, and the greens fees are very reasonable.
Incred-A-Ball Golf Ball
Aaaah, golf. Is there any game that lends itself to silly fun than a good walk spoiled? No, there is not, and this may be the silliest gift we've come across. The remote-controlled Incred-A-Ball can make your putts go all over the green and eventually land in the hole. Just wait until the hilarity ensues!
Binary Clock
It's hip to be square, and the nerds on your list will love a binary clock. These gizmos don't reveal the time in the usual analog way, nor are they your father's digital clock. These binary clocks make you look at time in a whole new way. While it takes a while to get used to, just like the old hands of an analog clock, once you get used to it, telling time with this timepiece will become second nature.
Glow Brick
This could be the coolest nightlight ever. The light bulb inside the glass brick is filled with phosphor luminescent powder, which absorbs the light. As the daylight fades, the nightlight glows brighter. The light provided by the Glow Brick diminishes during the night, only to be recharged the next day. Brilliant!
Heated Socks
For those cold winter days, battery-powered heated socks can be your toes' best friends. These gems maintain a constant warm temperature thanks to safe heating elements powered by batteries. Heated socks are low voltage, and are safe even when wet. Just feel the warmth.
Remote Barbecue Thermometers
From the "of course!" school of obvious gadgets, the remote barbecue thermometer allows you to play in the yard while you still monitor the internal temperature of your grilling meats. If you like to grill during the winter, this little beauty can make you look like a hardy soul, even if you check on dinner only when it's done. Why should anyone know? Put on a pair of those battery-powered socks, and you're good to go.
Chocolate Fountains
Would you like to hear the following sentence: "This is the greatest party ever!" An ingenious item that will excite just about any party goer is a chocolate fountain. Melt yourself some chocolate, pour it into one of these units, and watch as the melted goodness cascades down. Put out some strawberries, cookies, pretzels, or (our favorite suggestion) chocolate bars and prepare to accept the complements.
